The singer was born on April 16, 1971 in Lake Jackson Texas. She was a singer in Spanish despite being American and also spoke English as her mother tongue. Selena grew up in a loving and happy family with Hispanic heritage. Selena Quintanilla's father who was a musician though he wasn't as well than his son.
